Produced by Fremantle, the immensely popular series features returning celebrity judges Carter Oosterhouse and Taniya Nayak.
Season 6 of “The Great Christmas Light Fight” showcases the wildest and most spectacular Christmas displays in America. In each one-hour episode, four families from all around the country decorate their homes to the extreme in the hopes of winning the coveted Light Fight trophy and a $50,000 prize, with a total of $300,000 given away for the season. This season, as the temperature cools down, the competition heats up when families invite us inside their homes to witness their fantastic Christmas décor for the very first time. In addition to all of the stunning inside/outside displays, the first-ever “Heavyweights” episodes showcase light shows that have grown too large for any home.
“605” – (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST) – Four festive families from across the country showcase their spectacular displays, including the Medhurst family with their high-tech, do-it-yourself display, holding 30,000 lights on the roof and 3D-printed, one-of-a-kind light fixtures in Greeley, Colorado; the Gilley family with their legacy-carrying mechanical display gone wild, including a moving elephant, alligator, dinosaur and more in Ballplay, Alabama; the Chuchla house, where every piece of furniture in the house is removed to display wall-to-wall Christmas, inside and out, in Phoenix, Arizona; and the Smith family, a mother and son-in-law duo who come together once a year from across the country to create an incredible hybrid North Pole light display in Temecula, California. Don’t miss judge Carter Oosterhouse choose the winner of $50,000 and the coveted Light Fight trophy on ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight.”
“606” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST) – The festivities conclude in the final episode of the season with the Peace family and their pirate-themed light show, complete with special effects, a blazing cannon and a collapsing mega-tree in Escondido, California; the Schmidt family with their display full of laugh-out-loud humor, including handcrafted wooden cutouts, Santa in the outhouse and a carousel house in Waco, Texas; the Chmielewski family with their amusement park display which features a full-size roller coaster on their roof, a Ferris wheel and a ski lift in Bismarck, North Dakota; and the Yoast family with their display holding over 500 wireframes, a giant bulb garden, and Santa and his reindeer putting on the 18th green in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Who will walk away with $50,000 and the coveted Light Fight trophy? Tune in to watch judge Taniya Nayak make the final decision on ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight.”
