ABC Wins Friday and Delivers Season Highs on the Night

‘Shark Tank’ Grows to Its Most-Watched Telecast Since March 2017

and Its Highest-Rated Since January 2018

ABC Friday Prime Time (8:00-11:00 p.m. – 6.0 million and 1.1/6 in AD18-49): 

ABC ranked as Friday’s No. 1 network in Adults 18-49 (1.1/6), beating original lineups on NBC by 10% (0.8/5) and on Fox by 22% (0.9/4). The Net also emerged as the night’s most-watched network (6.0 million). ABC soared over the prior week by double digits in both Total Viewers (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+22%) to hit season highs on the night with series programming. 

 

“Shark Tank” (8:00-9:01 p.m. – 6.8 million and 1.4/7 in AD18-49): 

“Shark Tank” grew for the 3rd straight week in Total Viewers (+24% – 6.8 million vs. 5.5 million) and shot up over the prior week by 40% with Adults 18-49 (1.4/7 vs. 1.0/6) to score new season highs. In fact, “Shark Tank” delivered its most-watched telecast since March 2017 and tied its highest-rated since January 2018 – since 3/3/17 and 1/14/18, respectively.

 

ABC’s “Shark Tank” stood as Friday’s No. 1 program in Adults 18-49 (1.4/7), beating runner-up NBC’s “The Blacklist” by 27% (1.1/6). In fact, this week’s “Shark Tank” ranked as the 2nd highest-rated entertainment telecast on the night this season, behind only the October premiere of Fox’s “WWE Friday Night Smackdown.”
