ABC Claims 5 of Week’s Top 15 Shows, More Than Any Other Net

During the week of Oct. 5, 2020, ABC ranked as the No. 1 network for the 2nd straight week among Adults 18-49 (1.7/10), dominating Fox by 31% (1.3/8), CBS by 31% (1.3/7) and NBC by 55% (1.1/6).

ABC grew for the 2nd consecutive week in Total Viewers (+3% – 6.0 million vs. 5.8 million) to attract its biggest weekly audience in nearly 7 months and in Adults 18-49 (+6% – 1.7/10 vs. 1.6/9) to deliver its highest-rated week in 8 months – since the weeks of 3/16/20 and 2/3/20, respectively.

ABC shot up over the comparable week last year by 55% with Adults 18-49 (1.7/10 vs. 1.1/5 on w/o 10/7/19), building year over year for the 2nd week in a row.

ABC claimed 5 of the week’s Top 15 programs in Adults 18-49, marking the most for any network for the 2nd week running (NBC – 3, Fox – 3, CBS – 1): NBA Finals on ABC-10/9 Game 5 (3.3/22) and NBA Finals on ABC-10/11 Game 6(3.3/17) tied for No. 4, NBA Finals on ABC-10/6 Game 4 (2.9/18) – No. 7, NBA Trophy Presentation (2.4/13) – No. 9 and “Vote 2020: Vice Presidential Debate-10//7” (2.3/11) – No. 11 (tie).
