‘What Would You Do?’ Ranks No. 1 in 10:00 p.m. Time Period in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 and Grows in All Key Demos From First Half-Hour to Second Half-Hour

‘What Would You Do?’ Posts Most-Watched Telecast in Over 2 Years

ABC News’ season premiere of “What Would You Do?” posted increases from its year-ago season premiere (8/9/19) in Total Viewers (+16% – 2.9 million vs. 2.5 million) and Adults 25-54 (+17% – 0.7/3 vs. 0.6/3). In fact, “What Would You Do?” delivered its most-watched season premiere in 3 years—since 6/23/17.

“What Would You Do?” ranked No. 1 in the 10:00 p.m. time period in Adults 25-54 (0.7/3), beating encore telecasts of CBS’ “FBI: Most Wanted” (0.6/3) and NBC’s “World of Dance” (0.6/3) each by 17%. In addition, “What Would You Do?” ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (0.4/3), tying both CBS and NBC in the hour.

Building on its lead-in across the board, “What Would You Do?” saw its audience grow by 7%in Total Viewers (2.8 million to 3.0 million), by 25% in Adults 18-49 (0.4/3 to 0.5/3) and by 17% in Adults 25-54 (0.6/3 to 0.7/4) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour. In fact, “World Would You Do?” beat both CBS’ “FBI: Most Wanted” (0.4/2 and 0.6/3, respectively) and NBC’s “World of Dance” (0.4/3 and 0.5/3, respectively) in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 from 10:30-11:00 p.m.

“What Would You Do?” improved on its season finale (9/6/19) in Total Viewers (+16% – 2.9 million vs. 2.5 million) and Adults 25-54 (+17% – 0.7/3 vs. 0.6/3), turning in its most-watched telecast in over two years—since 5/24/18.

“What Would You Do?,” hosted by Anchor John Quiñones, reveals how people behave when they think no one is watching by using hidden cameras to record real reactions to thought-provoking scenarios. Ethan Nelson is executive producer, David Sloan is senior executive producer and Michaela Dowd is director of “What Would You Do?” for Lincoln Square Productions.
