ABC Is the No. 1 Broadcaster in Adults 18-49 on the Final Sunday of the Season
ABC’s Season Finale of ‘American Idol’ Delivers a 7-Week Viewership High

ABC Sunday Prime Time (7:00-11:00 p.m. – 6.2 million and 0.9/5 in AD18-49):
ABC ranked as the No. 1 broadcast network on the final Sunday of the season in Adults 18-49 (0.9/5), tying Fox. In fact, ABC stood as Sunday’s highest-rated broadcaster on each of the last 15 weeks of the season. In addition, ABC was Sunday’s most-watched broadcast network (6.2 million) for the 3rd consecutive week.
In its first-ever remote finale event, ABC’s “American Idol” stood as Sunday’s No. 1 broadcast program among Adults 18-49 (1.2/6), ranking as the night’s top-rated broadcast series on 13 of its 14 telecasts of the season (with ABC’s “The Rookie” taking the top spot on 5/3/20). With 8.2 million Total Viewers, “American Idol” closed out its 3rd season on ABC with its largest audience in 7 weeks – since 3/29/20. In addition, “American Idol” held even with the prior week in Adults 18-49 to tie a 6-week high – since 4/5/20.
