During the week of March 2, 2020, ABC had 7 of the week’s Top 15 highest-rated programs among Adults 18-49: “Grey’s Anatomy” (2.3/12), “The Bachelor” (2.2/11), “The Good Doctor” (1.9/10), “American Idol” (1.7/9), “A Million Little Things” (1.5/9), “The Rookie” (1.5/8) and “Station 19” (1.5/8).

 

Despite its Tuesday and Wednesday lineups being preempted, ABC (7) still claimed more of the week’s Top 15 programs than NBC (4), Fox (3) or CBS (2).

 

ABC delivered the Top 2 highest-rated dramas with “Grey’s Anatomy” (2.3/12) and “The Good Doctor” (1.9/10-tie), respectively.

 

ABC had the No. 1 10:00 p.m. program with “The Good Doctor” (1.9/10-tie).

 

ABC claimed the No. 1 program on Monday with “The Bachelor”; the Top 3 programs on Thursday with “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Station 19” (tie) and “A Million Little Things” (tie), respectively; and the Top 2 programs on Sunday with “American Idol” and “The Rookie” (tie), respectively.

 

ABC delivered each of the Top 3 gainers in TV playback among Adults 18-49 with “The Good Doctor” (+1.1 rating points) – No. 1, “Grey’s Anatomy” (+1.0 rating points) – No. 2 and “A Million Little Things” (+0.9 rating points) – No. 3.

 

On a percentage basis, ABC had each of the Top 3 playback gainers on the major networks, with all 3 programs more than doubling from L+SD to L+7: “A Million Little Things” (+150%) – No. 1, “The Good Doctor” (+138%) – No. 2 and “Stumptown” (+125%) – No. 3. 

 

After holding even with the prior week among Adults 18-49 in L+3, “The Good Doctor” improved week to week by 6% in L+7 (1.9/10 vs. 1.8/10) to tie its highest-rated telecast since its September season premiere – since 9/23/19. “The Good Doctor” also matched its biggest playback lift since its season opener (+1.1 rating points).

 

“A Million Little Things” ended up growing week to week by 7% among Adults 18-49 in L+7 (1.5/9 vs. 1.4/8) to equal a 6-week high (since 1/23/20) after being even with the previous week in L+3. “AMLT” tied its 2nd-largest playback increase this season (+0.9 rating points).

 

“The Rookie” grew to a new season best with Adults in L+7 (1.5/8) after matching its season high in L+3. In fact, “The Rookie” tied its top-rated telecast in more than 1 year – since 1/22/19.
