ABC Claims Thursday’s No. 1 Show in Adults 18-49 

and Wins All Three Hours of the Night

‘Station 19,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘A Million Little Things’

ABC Thursday Prime Time (8:00-11:00 p.m. – 8.0 million and 1.6/9 in AD18-49): 

With its 3-hour drama lineup, ABC ranked No. 1 on Thursday night among Adults 18-49, dominating runner-up CBS by 6-tenths of a rating point (1.6/9 vs. 1.0/6). In fact, ABC doubled its advantage over CBS after 3 days of TV playback, leading by 6-tenths in L+3 versus 3-tenths in L+SD.

ABC won Thursday for the 8th consecutive week among Adults 18-49. 

 

ABC emerged as the night’s No. 1 network in Total Viewers in L+3 (8.0 million), moving ahead of CBS (7.8 million). 

 

ABC claimed Thursday’s No. 1 program in Adults 18-49 with “Grey’s Anatomy” and ranked No. 1 in all three hours of the night.

 

With the night’s Top 2 gainers, ABC stood as Thursday’s No. 1 gainer in TV playback in Adults 18-49, growing by +0.6 rating points from L+SD to L+3.

“Station 19” grew week to week by 11% in Total Viewers (8.4 million vs. 7.6 million) to draw its largest audience since its season premiere 7 weeks earlier (since 1/23/20) and held even with the prior week among Adults 18-49 (1.4/8). ABC’s “Station 19” ranked No. 1 in the Thursday 8:00 p.m. hour in Adults 18-49, beating comedies on CBS (1.3/7 for “Young Sheldon”/”Unicorn”), Fox (0.8/5 for “Last Man Standing”/“Outmatched”) and NBC (0.7/4 for “Superstore-Enc”/“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), and winning the hour for the 8th week in a row.

 

“Grey’s Anatomy” built for the 2nd consecutive week in Total Viewers (+1% – 9.0 million vs. 8.9 million) to its most-watched telecast in 7 weeks – since 1/23/20. The ABC drama ranked as Thursday’s No. 1 program for the 8th week running in Adults 18-49 (2.1/11). ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” dominated its Thursday 9 o’clock time slot with Adults 18-49, nearly doubling its nearest competition in the hour (+91% – 2.1/11 vs 1.1/6 for CBS’ “Mom”/“Carol’s Second Act”). “Grey’s Anatomy” was Thursday’s No. 1 gainer in TV playback in Adults 18-49 (+0.9 rating points).

 

“A Million Little Things” improved week to week by 5% in Total Viewers (6.6 million vs. 6.3 million) to pull in its biggest audience in 7 weeks (since 1/23/20) and held even with the prior week among Adults 18-49 (1.3/7). The ABC drama ranked as the No. 1 program in the Thursday 10:00 p.m. hour for the 6th straight week among Adults 18-49. “AMLT” stood as Thursday’s No. 2 playback gainer in Adults 18-49 (+0.7 rating points), behind only ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.”
